- The Perfect Guitar -

After 60 years of searching and study, I finally found the ideal guitar to work on and create what I can honestly call the Perfect Guitar. When my work is complete I can tell you that it is truely a guitar I would play in concert. In fact, I plan to play some concerts and sell the guitar after the concert. Listen to it below.
..

1.      Starts with a special nylon string guitar.

2.      This is a cut-a-way design for easier access to upper frets

3.      This guitar has a solid spruce top, not laminate.

4.      It also has a truss rod. After Jim reworks the frets, the truss rod is a good way to insure the fingerboard is always flat and true..

11.  Once the fret job is complete and the new J-51 strings are installed the truss rod can be adjusted according to the tension of the strings. When the guitar is detuned to a lower pitch it is a good idea to adjust the truss rod back (counter clock wise) to give a bit of relief so strings will not buzz in the lower frets. Remember, the fret action

is a low as it can go, and playability is at it’s optimum so fine adjustments help. Also remember, there is slack or looseness between the two adjustments.

12.  Humidity change. Any time a guitar moves from a dry climate to a higher humidity, or wet to dry, the truss rod may need to be adjusted. Sight down the edge of the fingerboard, using protective glasses, to see how straight the fingerboard is. Eventually you will be glad you have a truss rod installed in your guitar.

13.  Never hang your guitar on a wall. The walls absorb or give off too much moisture. Your guitar may respond by cracking or glue joints coming apart. Remember, this is a fine guitar with a solid spruce top and should be treated with care. If your guitar should ever develop a crack, get it fixed as soon as possible.

14.  The more you play your solid spruce top guitar, the better it will sound. Play it strong and play it often. You will be amazed at how much the tone and volume will increase. This is the advantage of a solid spruce top instrument. When not playing your guitar you can place it near a speaker and play quality music so the sound can go thru the guitar. Option 2: to insure your guitar will not get damaged, place it in it’s hard shell case when not in use.

15.  A guitar of this quality, adjusted to this degree and with such a professional pickup/electronics system is never for sale at this low price of $2,495. You might call this The Perfect Guitar at this lower price range.

16.  A signed label is installed denoting the work Jim Greeninger has done to this great guitar

The Six-Pickup Bridge Saddle electronics produces the perfect sound through any acoustic amp or PA system. The below selections show the exact same pickup electronics as played by Mr. Greeninger. These recordings were done direct input using only this six-pickup brodge saddle system, no microphones. The audience noise was too great and we felt this was the best way to get a clean recording.

NOTE: This NOT the "Perfect Guitar" but has the same, exact pickup system and sounds just like it.

The below video has almost 7,000,000 views. Audience sound at the end was added from a seperate recording.

Holding your guitar correctly is very important. The Perfect Guitar provides several options. The strap button should be in a position that will distribute the weight of the guitar evenly so the left hand does not hold the neck up at all and is free to simply play.

It also happens that the left hands natural position is in the center working part of the fingerboard, the fifth fret.

NOTE: The guitar shown below is NOT the Perfect Guitar. However, it does have the strap buttons located correctly, just like the Perfect Guitar.

You will also notice that the left hand thumb floats freely in the center of the back of the neck. This helps to play with the least tension possible. Barre chords become so very easy to play.

When in the correct position, your nose will be over the neck and body joint.

PLEASE NOTE: These pictures are all standing up. When sitting down keep the guitar in the same position for ease of playing. Yes, it does resemble a classical player, the same way guitars have been held for hundredes of years.
